Approved helmets for the 2020 DE season

PCA and most driving clubs, recommend the use of current SNELL SA rated Helmets or their equivalent BSI and SFI counterparts. SNELL certifications are for a ten-year period. Unfortunately, several manufacturers are experiencing delays in producing SNELL certified 2020 helmets and are on back order. Therefore this will be the last season for SNELL SA and SM 2010 helmets.  This rule is applicable to all PCA regional driving events.

As of 2021, ONLY SNELL and 2015-2020 or their equivalent BSI and SFI certified helmets will be permitted.

For the Rennsport 2020 DE season, each driver participating in the Drivers Education program must wear a helmet meeting the following Safety Helmet Standards:

    1. SNELL Foundation Helmets rated: SA2010 or SA2015 or A2020(recommended)
    2. British Standards Institute (BSI): BS6658-85 type A/FR
    3. SFI Foundation Inc. Helmets rated: SFI 31.1A

At the first event attended in the 2020 season, and all subsequent events, you are requested to bring your Helmet to the Tech Line for inspection.  A Sticker will be affixed to indicate your helmet meets requirements for 2020 and future DE events.

The full reserved area includes the paddock for all of the GT3 Challenge race teams and a display of the classic Porsches that have been restored by 12 of the Porsche Centres across Canada.

We are looking for volunteers to ensure the success of this event. You must be available for a minimum of four hours per day, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday. As a thank you for your support, Porsche Canada and Rennsport offers; a free entrance ticket to the races, reserved Porsche parking and based on availability volunteers shirts. Please contact Bruno Bastien or Michael Delaney to confirm your availability before September 19th.
