Tow hooks
Your DE team has a goal of continuously improving our events. In order to minimize time lost during towing incidents the installation of easily accessible Tow Hooks will be mandatory before going on track for the 2022 season.
Most Porsches come with tow hooks that can be screwed into the front or rear bumpers. After market tow hooks are also available. Please ensure your tow hooks are installed before proceeding to the Techline each morning. Rennsport Tech Inspection sheets will also require a tow hook be shown to the technician performing the Technical Inspection.
Please contact us at drivingevents@rennsport.ca if you have any questions.

Approved helmets for the 2022 DE season
PCA and most driving clubs, recommend the use of current SNELL SA rated Helmets or their equivalent BSI and SFI counterparts. SNELL certifications are for a ten-year period. SNELL certified 2020 helmets are available at retail outlets. Therefore SNELL SA and SM 2010 helmets will no longer be accepted at Rennsport events. This rule is applicable to all PCA regional driving events.
As of 2022, ONLY SNELL SA2015-2020 or their equivalent BSI and SFI certified helmets will be permitted.
For the Rennsport 2022 DE season, each driver participating in the Drivers Education program must wear a helmet meeting the following Safety Helmet Standards:
1. SNELL Foundation Helmets rated: SA2015 or SA2020 (recommended)
2. Equivalent British Standards Institute (BSI): BS6658-85 type A/FR
3. Equivalent SFI Foundation Inc. Helmets rated: SFI 31.1A
At the first event attended in the 2022 season, and all subsequent events, you are requested to bring your Helmet to the Tech Line for inspection. A Sticker will be affixed to indicate your helmet meets requirements for 2020 and future DE events.
Please do not hesitate contacting us if you have further questions at DrivingEvents@Rennsport.ca
Updated DE Safety rules
Hello fellow Rennsport track addicts
PCA has updated the DE safety rules effective January 1, 2019. The specific rule change only affects DE participants that use harnesses during DE sessions. Starting January 1, 2019 DE participants using multi-point harness systems will be required to utilize a head and neck restraint (HNR) system, commonly referred to as a HANS device. The HNR must meet the standards of either SFI 38.1 or FIA 8858. This rule applies to all PCA Regional DE’s.
